Get A Free Dell XPS M1530! – Facebook Scam

A new scam is spreading on Facebook, and this time it neither promises you to show a video of a girl showing her tits on TV nor gives you free Facebook credits, but assures you a “free Dell XPS M1530″ by just completing a set of (bogus) offers.
Clicking the scam message will take you to the following page – yourfreepc.co which then redirects to a Facebook app named Spot The Difference.
According to the (bogus) website, in order to claim your reward, you need to register/sign up and complete a set of “sponsor” offers. By “sponsor” offers it means that you are supposed to purchase them with your credit card or fund a loan.
“Complete Sponsor Offers: Some offers require a purchase; agreement to receive, activate and use a credit card or fund a loan. Some rewards require that you complete one or more Sponsor Offers that require a purchase.”
I wonder why someone would want to pay for “sponsor” offers to get a laptop. If one had to pay for 10 offers, I’m sure the laptop cost would have come lesser than that. And moreover, the “free” tag was added in order to lure you and nothing else.

Well, if you share your credit card details with bogus sites like this, chances are there that you may land into serious trouble. Your credit card details could be misused to make other purchases by the scammer.

Although the website states that you need to enter your email id and other details to register, I did not find any link where users’ can register/sign up for a new account. This clearly indicates that it is a bogus site.

It is recommended that you DO NOT click on the scam message or buy any “sponsor” offers. Also, do not share/re-post the message with your friends. If you have shared this message with your friends, then your friends could be landing in trouble. You can message your friends stating that the message is a scam, and delete/remove it from their wall by clicking the “x” in the top-right corner of the post.

Share this post so your friends don't get scammed.

Google is moving step by step ahead in the race of social networking leadership. As it is, it’s quite obvious that Facebook is trying really hard to maintain the leadership which they have created and probably that’s why Facebook launched video chat some time back and also Facebook messenger as an answer to Google+ hangout and Google+ huddle feature respectively. As it is gaming is one part of social networking site, which helps in user engagement. According to Techcrunch, almost 200 millions users out of 750 millions on Facebook are part of Facebook games. So you can imagine, by launching gaming on Google plus in such short span, Google+ has done an incredible job.

Hacker Group Anonymous Vows To Destroy Facebook On November 5

Hacktivist group Anonymous, which is responsible for cyber attacks on the Pentagon, News Corp and others, has vowed Facebook on the 5th November (this should ring a bell) to destroy.

Citing privacy concerns and the difficulty of extinguishing a Facebook account involved, Anonymous hopes to "kill Facebook," the "medium of communication [we] are all so nice to worship."

This is not the first time Anonymous has spoken against social networks.

Committed after Google removed Anonymous' Gmail and Google + accounts, Anonymous, to create its own social network, called AnonPlus.

The full text of the announcement, made on YouTube, and reports by the Village Voice, the following section:

Message:

Attention citizens of the world,

We wish to get your attention, hoping you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your own privacy.

Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.

Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time. Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more "private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than your family. http://www.physorg.com/news170614271.htmlhttp://itgrunts.com/2010/10/07/facebook-steals-numbers-and-data-from-your-iph...

You cannot hide from the reality in which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right, you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but saving you.

The riots are underway. It is not a battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice and informed consent. It's unfolding because people are being raped, tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don't understand the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the details away from them "for their own good" while they then make millions off of you. When a service is "free," it really means they're making money off of you and your information.

Think for a while and prepare for a day that will go down in history. November 5 2011, #opfacebook . Engaged.

This is our world now. We exist without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right to not live as slaves.

We are anonymous
We are legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget
Expect us

Zuckerberg's sister leaves Facebook to start own consulting firm

NEW YORK: Facebook's director of marketing Randi Zuckerberg, sister of the social network's billionaire founder Mark Zuckerberg, is leaving her brother's company to start her own social media consulting firm.

Randi, who has been with Facebook for the last six years, said she feels it is the "perfect time" to move outside of Facebook to build a company focused on the "exciting trends underway in the media industry."

"I have decided my time at Facebook is coming to a close. When I think about the projects I am most proud of during my six years at the company, they all have one thing in common -- they revolve around the intersection of traditional media and social technology," she said.

Facebook confirmed the departure and in a statement said, "We can confirm Randi has decided to leave Facebook to start her own company. We are all grateful for her important service."

However, there was no direct comment from her brother. Randi plans to start her social media consulting firm 'RtoZ Media'.

"My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new and more social ways. In attacking this challenge, Facebook will clearly be a central element in all of my projects," she said adding that she hopes to continue advising Facebook on media projects.

According to her resignation letter posted on the website 'AllThingsD', Randi says she has focussed on innovating and pushing the media industry forward by introducing new concepts around live, social, participatory viewing.

"We have made incredible progress, but there is still much to be done and other ways I can affect change."

A prominent name in Silicon Valley, Randi has been on maternity leave for the last three months. She was recently nominated for an Emmy award in the category of live coverage of a current news event for her work on 'Facebook Live', a real-time news show she created and hosted for the company.

Changes which Facebook has made...

Although primarily a social networking tool, Facebook has brought to all areas of life changed. A few companies are highlighted below. In
The basic principle of Facebook is the communication that is an essential asset for any company. However, it should be limited to text, as companies increasingly use applications, games and video to convey your message. You can also allow a greater focus, because information sharing can help to indicate on their sites, which is more or less likely to want a particular product or service. There is nothing more effective than the influence of friends however, and once in the social circle you can see and try a company member, the others are very likely to follow.

In the recruitment
Facebook allows companies to give a face (or many faces), your name. Increasingly, they use real images of its employees and the working environment in their profile pages to show job seekers what they really want to be part of the team. This was particularly popular in Australia and New Zealand, where Deloitte gone so far as a webcam built into their offices. Companies such as Ernst & Young, also broadcast interviews with a demonstration of how the process offers.

In relationships
The average length of dating before marriage is much shorter for couples who meet online, for those who are offline. This may be due to the fast and easy access to information on people's interests, tastes and hobbies, which could take weeks of dating, to know, but now takes a few minutes reading the profile. Perhaps this also reflects a change in the attitude of romance ads as a slow process of flowering, we want everything faster than what you are looking online.

In Travel
Online service is much more than the company's website. Airlines have been offering, with special Facebook, such as "Facebook Friday AirTran fares, and travel agents, their last vacation to promote her list of fans, but their applications are a hot topic today, as are all the rage for smart phones and social networks of both. Skyscanner'sflight viewer is a great example of what Facebook users looking for low prices, no problem. For example, if you were in flight prices for September UK to Canada might

a) Visit a site like Skyscanner / or Direct Flights

b) Visit the Skyscanner flight search and enter the UK seeking to Canada in September, "and once you get a price of ping.

Do we really need a flight search application on Facebook? Of course not. It's just a nice little trick and something that is perfect for those who do not want Facebook is about to leave.

In politics
Political opinions have never been so easy to disseminate and implement, because since the advent of Facebook and Twitter.Middle East transgressions are coordinated, though the media, the students formed protest groups and collection of their actions, regular gay pride marches, designed and promoted by the groups. In this sense, Facebook show that younger generations are not politically apathetic, and that the protest is not a relic of the past.
